Being CBrown5055....

People always ask me why I have the user name CBrown5055, after all I'm known to be very creative and always very quick on my feet. Surely, I could come up with something a little better than CBrown5055, right? At times I even sit and try to think of other user names, maybe something zippy like Tiaras&Trinkets or descriptive like Notalwaysablonde, but I can never find one that suits all of my personality. I am many different things, to many different people. I am a very evolved and every changing human being. How can you ever put just one label on something like that? And even if you do find the perfect phase to suit your life, is it something you want to be remember as in 15 years? Surely the HotlipsAtlanta won't be so hot when their emailing their grand kids.

Truth is, I just missed the computer age in high school. So I lived much of my adult life without a personal computer. Even after I ventured out into the big world of the Windows and Rams, I owned my computer for 6 months before I had the courage to sign up for Internet service. When I finally took the plunge, AOL gave me a few options for a user name. CBrown5055 was the first on the list and I have been as loyal to it as it has been to me. Even when I took a job where I needed to put my email address on the business cards, I didn't stray. Every ISP knows me as CBrown5055, as do most of my virtual friends.

Yes, CBrown5055 has been with me for along time now and I imagine one day, when my time on this earth is over, somewhere on my headstone it will read CBrown5055.
